There are many reasons that an appraisal may be needed for your car. Maybe you disagree with your insurance company about how much your car is worth, or maybe you need an appraisal to obtain agreed-value collector car insurance. In either case, our expert team can accurately assess your car's value, prepare professional reports, and negotiate with your insurance company to get a higher payout.

Total-Loss Claims
When your vehicle suffers an accident and your insurance company decides to "total" it, they must make a determination about its pre-loss value in order to adequately compensate you. The insurance company will often propose a value that does not reflect the true value of your car. A licensed appraisal company like Ampelmann Automotive can negotiate on your behalf to increase your payout from your insurance company. If we cannot get you more money than your insurance company initially offers, then we will not charge you at all - so there is no risk to you!
Collector Car Appraisals
Some specialty insurance policies require an appraisal to determine your vehicle's value prior to issuing a policy. Even if it is not required, it can be valuable to have an appraisal created for your car to aid in any future claims. Having an appraisal on file can help avoid your vehicle being subject to a total loss claim, and can aid in selling a vehicle for top-dollar.

Tim Beaulieu is the owner and operator of Ampelmann Automotive, LLC. He has over a decade of experience buying, restoring, and selling classic and specialty automobiles. This experience has exposed him to a huge variety of cars, including very uncommon collector cars, and this has allowed him to document all kinds of vehicles accurately and expertly. Appraising uncommon automobiles, documenting rare and valuable features, and carefully curating truly comparable vehicles are unique advantages of Ampelmann Automotive.

Collector Car Appraisal
$400.00
Included with this appraisal is physical inspection of your collector car, photo documentation, expert research into your vehicle's unique characteristics, comparable vehicle documentation, and value assessment.
Total Loss Appraisal
$400.00
Included with this appraisal is physical inspection of your vehicle, photo documentation, pre-loss value assessment, research and extended description of vehicle features, and no-risk pricing as described below.
For insurance appraisals, a no-cost consultation regarding your vehicle and initial insurance offer will be conducted. If an appraisal is subsequently conducted, Ampelmann Automotive will not charge you unless we can increase your insurance payout by at least enough to cover the $400 cost of appraisal. Any increase beyond the $400 appraisal cost may be retained by the customer.
